WEDDING COLOUR SCHEMES

Its been a loooong minute since i posted something.....
Well the hiatus has come to an end... :-) so more posts are coming right up. . :-) :-)

So the wedding season is here, and there are weddings every other weekend..... (or week day).
Its all about who had the most beautiful wedding, the prettiest flower arrangement, the hottest colour schemes, the most spectacular theme......
Its a melting pot of colours and ideas!!!!

Here are a few pointers :-

Orange + Green
For a september-december wedding use this pair with white linens. Warm it up for a june-july wedding with brown linens.

Light Pink + Brown
Stick with pink flowers. You can use brown as the foundation color for your table linens and bridesmaids' dresses.
Purple + Blue
Choosing deep purples mixed with light blues creates an elegant and modern feel.

Brown + Green + Orange
Orange and green are a great fit for your flowers. Chocolate or green bridesmaids' dresses are a great look for this scheme. If you go with chocolate for the girls' dresses, consider a black tux with a brown vest and tie for the groomsmen. It's a very classy but out-of-the-ordinary look.

Red + Orange
These are rusty tones are perfect for a pretty mid-year wedding. Choose deep red flowers to highlight the bold orange within your flowers. Be bold with rust orange table linens. To soften these tones add dashes of white.

Orange + Brown
Use orange for all your accent pieces -- your flowers, ribbon touches, and table linens. The rich brown tones will bring a classy feel to bridesmaids' dress and invitations. To add another touch of brown, consider renting beautiful brown chairs.

Yellow + Orange
Consider choosing the same type of flowers in both colors like this arrangement. Yellow makes a pretty foundation color for this pair. From your bridesmaids' dresses to your table linens, orange accents will pop off the yellow in a beautiful fashion.

Light Pink + Bright Pink
This monochromatic look is sweet and sophisticated. Deck your entire reception out in a monochromatic tone. From your table linens to your flowers, this dramatic look is sure to impress your guests. Choose flowers that create beautiful textures with their bold tones. This will give your arrangements an even more remarkable look. Set the single-color vibe early by pairing different shades of paper for the invitation layers.

 Purple + Orange
These tones are a great match for a tropical destination wedding, say Mombasa, Malindi.. Seychelles, Mauritius.... catch the drift....hehe.

Green + Cream
This is an elegant and classy look great for any time of year. Use green leaves to highlight a monochromatic bouquet of cream flowers. For a sophisticated feel to your reception, keep your color tones neutral with cream linens, green accents, and simple cream arrangements.
Turquoise + Orange
This out-of-the-ordinary pair is sure to impress your guests. Use turquoise as a foundation color -- your bridesmaids' dresses and table linens. Use orange as the accent color -- your flowers and accessories. For a sophisticated look use white as your foundation color and turquoise and orange as the accent colors.

The Afya Kenya Foundation is a registered charity trust organization based in Nairobi, Kenya that seeks to provide quality health care to the rural and urban poor through free community health outreach camps. It was set up by student doctors who saw the need for such an initiative in the course of their apprenticeship.
In support of this, atienoamisi always makes a point of bein part of Art for Afya Kenya, an initiative of The Afya Kenya foundation. This month, the theme is fighting hunger. So come and support this good cause & enjoy good music and art.. a must attend i must say!!
